We have always wanted to use the tail pipes on our Triumph Hurricane, in our collection, as they look awesome and are very iconic. When we found this 1978 Yamaha, which had been off the road for 10 years, we knew that this was our chance.
The aim was also to achieve a cost effective café racer, something on for the lower budget something different from our other machines, like the Chrome 900.
Completely taken apart. Frame sandblasted and painted. Engine cleaned and painted & thoroughly serviced.
Updated shocks fitted plus almost new tyres. New battery.
Custom seat and nose cone.
Triumph Hurricane tail pipes mated to custom polished stainless connector pipes and the stock down pipes. This exhaust system is the signature feature of the bike.
Cafe racer rear-sets with bespoke linkages.
Custom tail light and indicators.
Clip-on handlebars, stock levers and instruments and a bar-end mirror.
Metallic midnight blue and white, separated by a gold pinstripe, paint scheme. Done by Cycle Sprays.
